High Level Fall Events

posted by: High Level Hotels on: October 16, 2014 10:34:16 AM

The temperature this week in High Level is forecasted to dip below zero degrees.  Although winter hasn’t officially arrived, it’s certainly beginning to feel like it!  If you’re staying with us this fall and winter in High Level, be sure to check out a few of these fun events happening around town.  If you’re travelling with kids, there are a few spooky events to check out as well.

Go Public Skating

A great way to enjoy the onset of winter is to head to the High Level Arena for some ice-skating.  Ice-skating is a great physical activity for everyone in the family and the arena here in High Level rents skates and helmets to people of all levels.  Skating takes place on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:45pm and Sundays from 4:45-6:00pm.  A nice part about ice-skating is its affordability: an entire family of five can skate for just $7.75.  Check out the High Level Skating Club for more information.

Safe Halloween Event

This free family event takes place on Friday October 31 from 5-8pm at the High Level Town Hall.  Featuring carnival style games, an extensive helping of candy, a hotdog roast and more, this event is perfect to take the kids.  If you’re in High Level with the entire family, don’t miss this great event.

Halloween Spooktacular! Event

Also taking place on Friday October 31 is High Level’s Halloween Spooktacular, a parallel evening of games and crafts, a spooky skate and a scary swim at the Walter Aquatic Centre.  From 6-8pm at the High Level arena, take the kids for crafts.  Starting at 8pm, the arena opens up for a spooky skate.
